“Some people just aren’t lucky enough to find love.”

One of the disheartening things about writing on romantic gestures is that I hear from a lot of people that are frustrated with their love life or worse yet, that have given up on love. The following line both pained me and challenged me.

“Some people just aren’t lucky enough to find love.”

Is this true?! What do you think? What advice would you give this person?

Here are what a few of my Twitter friends are saying:

TamaraSchilling I don’t Believe in luck. We create our own reality. If we don’t have love, we’re in illusion as we ARE that already! XO!

djELITE It isn’t. What the character is saying is that you must make your own opportunity.

Mike_Garces False. Those who don’t find it are either confused about what they want or just not looking close enough.

Nutcase215 False. Just be happy with yourself first.

jasonwilks Many are not brought up in love, so they can’t find love because they don’t know what it is. Love = action. Love to be loved.

jeelchristine Not that I don’t believe in luck, but luck doesn’t decide for us. We make our luck depending on the steps we take & choices we make.

Eckstatic “A Real Man Makes His Own Luck” – Billy Zane Titanic – LOL. In all seriousness, I don’t think it’s about luck.

Finding a loving relationship is partially luck/fate/"what we are given" and as such, "Some people just aren't lucky enough to find love."

Hmmm… Interesting perspective. I’m not entirely sure I agree with you advice, but thank you for sharing.
