The Romantic Side of Tinfoil

Romance Challenge: What is the most romantic (rated G!) thing you could do or have done with tinfoil?

Time to ponder the romantic uses of tinfoil.

Time to ponder the romantic uses of tinfoil.

What my Twitter friends said:

@phire42: Make tin foil hats & ensure that the government doesn’t read your minds – together! Conspiracy Theory Couples are romantic! - LOL

@phire42: While camping you can cook potatoes in an underground oven, wrapped in tin foil. Camping & cooking together in nature. - Potential!

@NightShade10: Make tinfoil boats and put a candle in the center and float them in a retrievable body of water. - Brilliant!

@phire42: You could use tin foil on a baking tray to fire some polymer clay trinkets you have made together. Romantic craft day! - Quality time!

@phire42: Romantic & humorous contest. See which of you can get the biggest tinfoil ball by asking for tinfoil from random neighbors. - Hmmm…

@djbeth: I guess throwing tinfoil balls at each other wouldn’t be romantic, would it? - Sure! A little mutual torment & laughter can be fun! I wouldn’t plan a whole date around throwing tin foil balls at one another though. ;-)

@UmeboshiSan:Umm… Make wifi antenna boosters? ttp://tinyurl.com/4yrkmvKids in my class would say epic fail! ;-) But an interesting idea.

@fjpoblam: Tin foil makes a great cooking aid, for an elegant meal for two. - The classic use.

@glamourbrain:/ Two tin-foil rings could be more/ Precious than diamonds + @bxbeautie maybe a promise ring. lol - Impromptu rings deliver!

My story? Tinfoil brings back romantic memories for me as I was wrapped in it when I proposed. Poor man’s knight in shining armor gear. (Before anyone asks, no, the picture isn’t me. <grin>)

Do you have any other ideas? I’d love to hear them.

Sorry I missed this twitter party, lol.

My romantic memory: The electric went out in a storm and we used tinfoil to make defectors for our candles and lanterns to direct the light better, so we could fix snacks and play games at the table.
